Kendriya Sainik Board (केन्द्रीय सैनिक बोर्ड) ) is the highest administrative body of the Indian government. It comprises the leading designers of policies and programs for the care of war widows, disabled soldiers, ESM, and their dependents using an inclusive, participative, and comprehensive approach.
The Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare, Ministry of Defence, administers numerous government rules and initiatives through the KSB Sectt under the direction of the Secretary, KSB, with the goal of giving chances to all sectors of the ESM in order to enhance their financial and social position.
KSB Sectt, one of the nation’s expanding organizations, has been working to coordinate the Sainik Board centers in all States and Union Territories. In order to successfully remove regional, context-specific obstacles to ESM’s access and participation in new programs.
It has implemented community-based initiatives. We can understand how all the stakeholders, including the ESM, identify and respond to these issues and opportunities thanks to the first-hand experience our team and subject matter specialists have dealing with the realities of the Organization.
Since its founding in 1951, the Kendriya Sainik Board has become increasingly successful. KSB has been developing and putting into action programmes that are connected to the changing needs and requirements of the ESM Diaspora in various regions of the country as part of its unrelenting pursuit of rehabilitation, resettlement, and welfare of the constantly growing ESM population.
KSB undertakes 14 programmes to improve the lives of almost 35 million ex-servicemen (including widows). I’m happy that KSB is carrying on the wonderful practise of producing a Single Ready Reckoner/Guide Book, which will be very beneficial to veterans and their heirs.
