In order to provide Indian Navy sailors with a place to unwind, the Indian Navy Sailor’s Institute Sagar was founded in 1944. It is located close to Mumbai’s Naval Shipyard, which serves as the Indian Navy’s Western Naval Command’s administrative centre.
The institute is a self-contained building that offers the sailors all the amenities and services they could possibly need. It occupies a space of around 10 acres. It has a contemporary pool, a fully-stocked gym, a library with a sizable collection of books and publications, and an internet café with high-speed internet connectivity.
